Delivery

At Modernata Furniture.LTD, we strive to ensure a smooth and reliable delivery process for all our customers across Malta and Gozo. Below, you will find all the important details regarding our delivery services, including conditions, pricing, and coverage.

Free Delivery Conditions

  • We offer free delivery to the ground floor for all orders across Malta and Gozo.
  • Delivery to upper floors is not included in the free delivery service. If your furniture needs to be carried upstairs, additional charges will apply.

Lifter & Special Equipment

  • If a lifter is required to deliver your furniture, we can provide one upon request at an additional cost.
  • Our team will assess whether a lifter or special equipment is needed based on the delivery location.

Parking Permits for Delivery & Lifter

The customer is responsible for applying for parking permits at their local council, at their own expense for the truck and lifter (if needed).

  • The following parking spaces must be reserved:
    • Truck: 2 parking spaces
    • Lifter: 1 parking space
  • Parking permit signs must be placed next to the reserved parking spaces at least 48 hours before delivery.
  • Failure to secure parking permits in time will result in the delivery being rescheduled, and an additional rescheduling fee may apply.

Delivery to Upper Floors & Difficult Access Areas

  • If your residence or commercial space does not have a lift and furniture needs to be carried up stairs, an extra fee will be charged based on the number of floors.
  • If the delivery location is in a restricted or hard-to-reach area, additional costs may apply due to logistical challenges.

Delivery Pricing

While ground-floor delivery is free, additional delivery charges may apply depending on the following factors:

  • Distance – Delivery beyond certain distances may include an extra fee.
  • Floor Level – Higher floors without a lift will require additional labor, affecting the cost.
  • Special Equipment – If a lifter or crane is required, an additional fee will apply.

We will always provide a transparent quote before confirming the delivery.

Delivery Timeframe & Confirmation

  • We aim to deliver all orders within the agreed-upon timeframe.
  • We will call you before delivery to confirm that someone will be home to receive the order.
  • If no one is available at the time of delivery as agreed, the delivery will be rescheduled, and an additional rescheduling fee may apply.
  • If there are any delays due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible.

Delivery Damage Coverage

  • We take full responsibility for any damages that occur during transportation and delivery.
  • If your furniture arrives damaged, we will repair or replace it at no extra cost.
  • Any damages must be reported to the delivery person on-site upon delivery for immediate action.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the delivery path is clear and accessible before our team arrives.
  • Measure doorways, hallways, and staircases to confirm that the furniture will fit.
  • Notify us in advance if there are any special requirements for delivery.
  • For truck and lifter (if needed), apply for parking permits at your local council and place the notices 48 hours before delivery.
